Humanscale, the world’s leader in high-performance ergonomic products including seating, monitor arms, sit-stand tables, and more, has expanded its operations in Mexico with the addition of a state-of-the-art die-casting facility. Robotics and the latest equipment give us the ability to produce over 1 million parts per month, meeting large and growing demand with speed, precision, and unmatched quality. This facility enables us to fulfill large orders on demand, regardless of configuration, and virtually eliminate out-of-stock conditions. Our products are the first and only to be cast and assembled in Mexico—faster to market, with significantly reduced environmental impact.

 

We chose Mexico because of its proximity to the North American market, cost efficiencies, and a reliable and dedicated workforce. Producing the same products in the United States would not only be far more costly but very difficult in terms of hiring qualified and long-term workers. We believe that using the strengths of our neighbor Mexico creates efficiencies that makes us stronger and more competitive. And in turn, on a broader scale, makes both our countries stronger and richer.  

Most die-cast products, and certainly monitor arms, are outsourced to Asia, primarily China, where their environmental and manufacturing processes are often questionable and lack transparency. This also results in very long delivery times, and because of recent political volatility, supply reliability is a growing and significant concern.

By localizing manufacturing and employing cutting-edge equipment that consumes less energy, we have dramatically reduced our overall carbon footprint, while responding faster and more reliably to customer demand.

As you’d expect, we use 100% recycled aluminum and a high-efficiency process powered by the latest automation and precision tooling. And like all of Humanscale’s manufacturing facilities, our Nogales factory meets the following sustainability standards:

·         Solar powered and runs on 100% renewable electricity
·         Rainwater collection supplies 100% of production needs
