At this year’s Design Quarter, Humanscale, the global leader of ergonomic solutions for home, healthcare and work spaces, will present an array of intuitive solutions. Held on September 26 at St. Paul’s Gallery in Birmingham, the event will showcase creative and innovative products and designs from some of the most inspiring names in the design industry. With an exciting programme of seminars, workshops and presentations, Design Quarter will also be an opportunity to explore the latest trends and developments in interior design.

Humanscale will display a selection of products, including the Diffrient World chair, the Float height-adjustable table and the Element Disc LED task light, that embody its three principles of performance, simplicity and beauty.

The Diffrient World chair is the epitome of simplicity in a task chair. Made of just eight major parts and weighing only 14 kilograms, it uses a revolutionary mechanism-free recline, which eliminates the need for manual adjustments. The Diffrient World chair features Form-Sensing Mesh Technology that ensures perfect lumbar support for every user without the bulky external lumbar devices found on other mesh chairs.

A revolutionary sit/stand product, the Float height-adjustable table combines effortless adjustability and streamlined good looks to help solve the problem of sedentary behavior. With a unique counterbalance mechanism that provides constant counter-weighting force, it enables simple, one-hand weight adjustment, and constant-force height adjustment for easy ergonomic sit-stand usage—all without the use of an obstructive crossbeam, electricity or a cumbersome crank.

With a beautiful, futuristic aesthetic, the Element Disc LED task light is a highly sustainable task light that offers customisable illumination and fingertip adjustability for complete user control. Featuring intuitive, smart dimming functionality, it offers seven levels of brightness and uses memory to save the last preferred light setting selected by the user. Creating an ultra-wide footprint of warm, glare-free light, the Element Disc LED task light uses the innovative Thin Film LED Technology that was first manifested in Humanscale’s award-winning Horizon task light. For exceptional sustainability, the light is equipped with a passive infrared (PIR) occupancy sensor, which automatically turns the light off or on when the user leaves or enters the area.

Visitors to Humanscale’s booth 94-108 will also have a chance to win an exclusive Humanscale Freedom chair. The result of a collaboration between Humanscale and Camira Fabrics, the iconic Freedom chair is covered with Camira’s latest ‘Tangled’ fabric, making it a truly unique piece of design. Camira’s ‘Tangled’ fabric is available to buy from Humanscale.
